Dr Annie Banbury is a Senior Telehealth Consultant at the Centre of Online Health at the University of Queensland. Her PhD entitled “Digital Futures: E-health, health literacy and chronic disease self-management skills for older people” was in collaboration with an aged care industry partner. Annie’s research interests include using digital health for patient education, patient engagement and activation and improving social support. In addition, Annie is experienced in advising and supporting organisations to implement telehealth.

In this forum the findings from a recent study with residential aged care providers will be discussed. Annie will present changes in telehealth use during COVID-19 restrictions for clinical care and social support, challenges experienced and solutions implemented. The forum will discuss issues of sustainability within the aged care environment.
