Sub-arctic telehealth

Karrie Long, Royal Melbourne Hospital, is just back from her travelling scholarship to the far reaches of Europe, including just 300km short of the Arctic Circle – where patient access to healthcare is less affected by distance than by frozen seas (the region is made up of islands) and ~20 hours of darkness through the months of winter. 

Karrie attended HIMSS Europe and European telehealth conferences, and had site visits to health services, universities and design schools in Spain, Denmark and Sweden. 

She has returned exhausted and invigorated… 

During this online Telehealth Victoria Community of Practice webinar Karrie will share (a part from some great photos) overarching themes, some case studies and open an informal chat on what we can learn from our European colleagues.
