COP Workshop 1 2018

Audience

People interested in telehealth – whether you’re experienced in telehealth, or new(ish).

  • The morning session with DHHS is likely to be particularly useful for new players implementing telehealth in specialist clinics, but the strategy information and having DHHS funding expertise on site is likely to be very useful for all – to make best use of VINAH funding and clinic set-up!
  • he afternoon session is for new players and old hands – to bring knowledge to problem solving, to share experiences, to listen, learn and ask questions!

10 – 10.30: Welcome & introductions – especially to welcome those new to telehealth in Victoria; find out who is who in the zoo! – and find out how to contribute to and make best use of the COP
10.30 – 10.45: Telehealth promotion – learnings from 2017; what works?; what is out there?
10.45 – 11.00: DHHS update (state-wide strategic plan and the telehealth linkages)
11.00- 12.00: Funding & the how to’s of setting up an outpatients clinic – presented by DHHS funding / specialist clinic experts
12.00 – 1.00: Lunch and networking
1.00 – 1.15: Welcome and introductions for afternoon participants
1.15 – 2.45:

  • Stream 1 – Telehealth in Specialist Clinics • To coordinate or not? Presentation and facilitation by Kim Ford, Tasmania, with input from 2017 projects on models of support• Issues and solutions – bring your own issues & collaborate on / learn from others’ solutions (e.g. scheduling, clinician engagement etc.)• Lessons learned from 2017 projects
  • Stream 2 – Telehealth in emergency settings • Who is doing what & where – sharing models & workflows• Lessons learned from current services• Resources and information available to new players

2.45 – 3.15: Enabling telehealth access from regional locations – what is available, what do we need, how will we get there?

3.15 – 3.30: Sharing outcomes; next workshop / webinar suggestions / site visits – what do you want?. Close.
